How to capture partial information in WordPress in 4 steps from those forms that are not saved/submitted by user

Unfortunately, most of these WordPress Forms plugins lack the ability to collect partial information intelligently when a form is left by the reader.
There is no need to complain, on the other side. With the built-in form abandonment function, WPForms offers enormous relief.
This can be configured very easily. So you understand who filled out this form but left it without submitting.

Follow these measures to install and activate this after you have received your copy of the plugin. On your WordPress admin menu, you will have the newly added WPForms item. Go to WPForms-> Addons and press the Addon form to install it.
You have installed your plugin and enabled the Addon. Let’s move on now
#2. Create your form

- Input the form name (only internal use).
- Click “Request A Quote Form”
Please note that this is a readymade quote form. If necessary, you can add / remove fields. You can even create a new form by clicking on “Blank Form”.
You will see the following window by clicking the Request A quote Form box:
Just left click a field component (or drag / drop). Three primary categories are available:
Enter fields to your form as per your reader’s data and don’t forget to click on the “Save” button in the upper right-hand corner.
#3. Activate the form abandonment function
Your form has been developed and you’re prepared to live. However, let’s just check a form option to activate the abandonment function.
To allow the function and pull up some other alternatives, select the checkbox “Enabling form abandonment lead capture.” I suggest that you take these alternatives to find out what fits your need perfectly.
Just click the button in the top right-hand corner to save your form.
Note: You may want to look in other configuration alternatives:
- Notifications: You can set email addresses to be notified when you submit each form.
- Confirmation: After successful submission the confirmation page or message can be shown to the reader.
#4. Adding your form to posts/pages
Your form has now been developed. You have to make it accessible to your communities and render it accessible to use. This can be done in three respects:
1 – Create a single form page
Click on the Form Pages option while still on your WPForms editor and the Settings tab.
This allows you to build an stand alone url with your form. You can design the page with your logo and additional texts and colors, which may differ entirely from the overall design of your website.
2 – Copy/Paste shortcode
This is one of two steps if you want to just enter the shortcode and paste the form in a blog post or website. Just right in front of the Save button press on EMBED and copy the shortcode.
3 – Insert from content editor
Use the step 2 above if you do not wish to copy the shortcode The Add Form button on your WordPress Classic publisher is also an alternative for you:
To pull up the shortcode, select a form (in this case Request Free Quote) in the list, press the “Add Form” button.
Click on the Block Add (+) icon and search the block for WPForms with the fresh Gutenberg Editor and press on the “WPForms Block.”
How do you view abandoned form entries?
I knew this was going to be a question coming up. Once your form is up and running, it’s easy to view abandoned entries in the form.
Go to WPForms > Entries and pick the form for which you want to see entries:
How to Send Abandoned Form Emails
There are two things to send emails on abandoned forms:
1 – Trigger an alert to admin
Each time a form is abandoned, an email will be sent to any email you want so that you can easily track your possible results:
2 – Send the reader who gave up the form an e-mail
The reason for tracking the form abandoned is that we can get readers quickly once they leave. This can be handled in two ways by WPForms:
- Automatically send an email to the user as soon as they abandon a form
- Manually send them a message from the list of entries.
The aim of reaching the abandoned reader is fulfilled in either way.
How does WPForms collect information from abandoned forms?
When a customer passes off without clicking on the submission, the form is regarded abandoned. This could occur once some or all of the form areas have been filled out. (but “Submit/Save” button is not clicked)
In each case, WPForms has two events that cause it to collect data on the form when it feels that the user moves halfway through the offer:
- When you move your mouse outside the browser.
- If the user clicks on a website link
